The Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique to the Holy See informs that the Head of Mission, H.E. Raúl Domingos, together with members of the Diplomatic Mission, as well as colleagues from the Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique in Italy, participated in the event organized by AMMI – Association of Mozambican Women in Italy – on the occasion of the celebration of Mozambican Women’s Day.
The commemoration, officially observed on April 7, represents a moment of great symbolic value to honor the fundamental role of Mozambican women in the social, economic, and cultural development of the country. The commemorative gathering took place on April 12, bringing together members of the Mozambican community, institutional representatives, and friends of Mozambique in a spirit of sharing and reflection.
The event featured moments of dialogue, testimonies, and cultural activities that highlighted the richness of Mozambican traditions and the active role of women within the diaspora community.
The Embassy reiterates its support for initiatives that promote women’s empowerment and reaffirms its commitment to working with diaspora associations to strengthen the values of unity, inclusion, and development.
