On 6 May 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique had the honour of receiving His Eminence Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi on a courtesy visit, welcomed by His Excellency Raul Domingos.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of great cordiality and mutual esteem, providing an important opportunity for dialogue and exchange on matters of common interest, with particular emphasis on the values of peace, solidarity and international cooperation.
During the visit, the parties reaffirmed the importance of strengthening human, cultural and spiritual relations between peoples, highlighting the fundamental role of dialogue in promoting peaceful coexistence and development.
